Nick (Carmen's youngest) is recovering from a perforated eardrum that he got while going down to the bottom of the lake too fast - then he got an infection and has been feeling a lot of pain. Doing better and went to school today. Our Illinois grandchildren start next Tuesday. Glad for a relief in the really hot humid weather for all the kids in school.
Bill (Dad's sister, Edna's son) and Bonnie Maple visited this week. They were headed west and had stopped in Galesburg and then stopped by here. So nice to visit with them and catch up on family happenings. Jerry had two coroner calls in the same day and found he did fine even though he hadn't been to school yet. They were pretty basic - I guess - at least for him - perhaps no so much for the dearly departed.
Gracie is staying overnight tonight. Bradley was suppose to stay, too, but that didn't happen.
Grandson, Lyle's, (Angie's oldest) father was electrocuted this week while on the job as a lineman in Georgia. A sad time for his family.
Jerry and I have been trying to work our way through the front yard - it will be weed free one day. What's been done looks sooooo much better. Grateful for the nice weather and especially for the help.
