We stayed our first vacation evening in Decatur visiting the Belchers. As with all families with three teens, (sigh), it was busy. None of these children were born yet when I worked with Dean. Michael would have been twenty-one this year. Nancy only gets better with age and Dean is still Dean - ha. Daniel was trying on new basketball shoes, Dana was getting things ready for Senior Night for the Volleyball team (undefeated until the night before). Ashley had been to practice. We then went out to eat. Between all this was getting canned goods for a food pantry project, buying and making food for the Senior Night party at their house. Everyone is doing good - and so nice to visit with Dean and Nancy. Their teens are good kids and I'm called Grandma Di.
We stayed all night at the Homestead Motel in Decatur and it was the nicest lodging the entire trip. New and a little higher quality and very clean.
