Kane is in the news this week with a picture of the group that is going to the IESA State track meet today and tomorrow. I'm sure he will do well and have a good time - it's sunny and nice!Had Gracie one morning this week and it was fun. She's maturing so fast. Put her up on the big potty and she didn't have her hand ready to hold her. She "almost" hit the water. Her comment, "Whew, that was a close one!" Lots of laughs. We had a new box of sparkle crayons and she created some pictures for mommy and daddy.
Jerry's mother fell on the 8th and hurt her shoulder. Although we're waiting for a return call from her doctor this morning for details, it appears she will have surgery next Weds. to repair two breaks.
Susan and Paul had significant water in their basement when Monmouth's storm drains overloaded Weds. night (as did most of the town). Paul is home today trying to finish the clean-up. Not a good time in mudville.
Missed Max's game the other night in Galesburg. Although I went to the field, they had cancelled it because of the rain. Sorry to miss him as I was really looking forward to watching him play but so glad not to sit in the cold huge downpour as I expect he was glad to miss playing in it.
Trent got home from his very successful fishing vacation and brought back fish. Glad he and the guys had fun. Talked with Nancy Anderson yesterday, one of Kate's former teachers (art), and she said Kate was always a favorite of hers and she thinks Kate is so talented. We agree!
Today looks perfect - sunny, a breeze to dry up the ground and warming fast. So ready.
