Retirement Party

Grandpa being, well, grandpa. Retired. Or as Angie's T-shirt to him said "Retireded."
Gracie being all girl.

Bradley being all boy.

Jerry's party is over and everyone is home or on their way home. We have everything cleaned and back in place - except the game room which isn't all that worse for wear.

We had our group pictures taken by a professional photographer and I get the proofs as soon as I can pick them up (they are ready.) Posting the two little ones pictures & the retiree. Gracie was bribed with chocolate chip cookies so she would smile really big and then hold out her hand for another cookie. Both she and Bradley were little troopers all day, playing and busy and getting totally dirty and loving it. Bradley never stopped moving and was happy just being allowed to play and romp outside. Grace made pea gravel angels and enjoyed it when Amanda' little guy showed to play with her.

We had Ian, Marla, Don, Kane (and girlfriend), Gracie, Max, Trent, Julie, Katherine, Angie, Lyle, Ashey, Megan, Keitra, Phil, Bradley for pictures. Later, Amanda, Mark, Aribelle, Jonus, Candy, Randy, Destiny, Randal, Greg, Karen, Al, Shelly, Jim, Pat and Jack. It was a great time with people we care about. Missed the others but maybe next time...

Max had a rough day. First his grandpa in Indiana was scammed into wiring $3,000 to Canada to get Max out of jail which fortunately, Max was with his dad all weekend. We settled that bump just as the party was starting. Then when Max left and he was about to Monmouth, a deer ran in front of him, he swerved and rolled his car twice. Max and the two other boys were bruised and shaken but not seriously injured - car totaled. We were all really scared for him and so glad he is alright.

We ate and ate and ate, late crowd smoked cigars by the bonfire, and finally got to bed about one am. Angie and her children were loads of help and great house guests. Trents, Ians contributed to the food and helped with much of the work. Keitra brought her ever famous deviled eggs. Jerry and I decided as we finished today, we may have become too old to throw big parties. Pretty much whipped today.

Jerry and I so very much enjoyed the family and friends and we hope they all did too.
