I made a lemon meringue pie today. My very favorite pie and one mom used to make on special occasions. Used her recipes.
The crust has lard - oh yeah babe. So tender and perfect.
The lemon filling is tart and not even in the same ball park as the prepared kind.
The meringue is sweet and high.
I could eat the whole pie myself but have company coming tonight so may have to share.
