Kids

Dana, Daniel, Nancy, Ashley and Dean Belcher.  Doesn't Dean kinda look like he's not sure how that all happened?  I've known them for over 25 years - before they had any children and while Dean was just sure he was a stud sports jock.  My how things change.  As parents, they raised good kids.  Dana graduates from high school the end of this month and has a scholarship in volleyball.  The kids have always called us Grandma Di and Grandpa Jer.  Cute.

We enjoyed an evening with Trent, Julie, Katie and Alex at ZBest Restaurant.  Dang I always get too full.  The two teachers who went to the garden nursery with me yesterday commented on how much they enjoy Katherine and how they love her individuality.  Kate is on honor roll again - brains and creative talent!   Nice to catch up with them for awhile.  They are planting a garden this year and have done bunches in the yard - wish I was in the same place but I'm so slow.

Max is doing outstanding at baseball this year.  Some articles in the paper sound like it's the Max Lansing Team.  It's certainly his game and he's doing it well.  He's doing much better all around.

Today in church the minister's wife said everyone is important and fills an important place in the church.  She said last Sunday when none of us were in church they suddenly realized Grace was missing and they felt her absence.  They said as little as she is, she is important to people.  She does get a reaction whenever we walk in - often being called the "Little Princess" which she acknowledges occasionally with a nod.  Although she wasn't always overly impressed with Pastor Mike, she has loosened up and will now bump fists.  She went with us, today to buy potting soil.  We stopped by the Mexican restaurant for lunch and she impressed us with her ABCs, counting to twelve, and her Spanish counting skills to about 8 I think.   She is the forth grandchild that has gone to church with us and it has Blessed us.  Wish it could have been all.

Looking forward to a nice week - even if a little cool.
