June & Pollen

Crazy week:  I've had killer headaches since a week ago Saturday, tried self diagnosis and treatments and finally went to MD.  On a mix of steroids, antibiotics and prescr. allergy meds.  According to pollen.com, mulberry and grass pollen is high.  At any rate, I'm ready to be up and active instead of laying flat - since that's the only way to relief.  Maybe tomorrow...

The headache made for a very quiet birthday - still it was nice to hear from family and friends.

Jerry has been involved in everything Legion - from honor guard to spreading veteran's ashes services.  Today he participated in the honor flight fund raiser in Bishop Hill.

Cancelled out on many things this week which has kept Jerry busy taking helping with some of my usual tasks.  Another busy week coming up so hope to be back in action.  Plus, my garden has weeds taller than the tomato plants.  We may have to mow the sidewalks soon.

Grace was dog walking for Trent and Julie and Katherine while they were gone last week.  When I asked if she walked Katherine's dog she said, "No, I walked Uncle T's dog!"

Trent and Julie went to Memphis and then MO while Katie was in Washington DC with her class.  Sounded like good times for everyone.

Marge made a financial mistake this week when she gave a phone scammer her social security number - quite the mess but so far nothing happening.  Jerry had a lot of work making sure he did everything to insure there would be no problems.

Angie is preparing to graduate in the middle of July and looking for an apartment - busy girl.  Carmen and David were tiling their game room today.   We had hoped to get to see Bradley this week but it didn't happen.

Sue's store, Market Alley Wines, officially opened and she's already doing great business, especially considering she has done no formal advertising.  She has the web site up and it's on facebook.  There was a nice article in the Galesburg Register Mail today - it included this photo of Sue and customer, Paul....
