Icy Roads

This sweet child has the most expressive moods, leaving no doubt what he thinks on any subject concerning him.  This is so cute with him playing with his tractors he got from us on Christmas.  Don't know what someone said but apparently it wasn't his idea of fun.

Went to the dentist today and took the truck.  Although it does really good in snow, it doesn't do as good on ice.  Came home from the North and got to the top of the hill and the truck simply could not get enough traction on the totally ice covered road to get over the top.  Had to back  a L O N G way back to Page Street on total ice.  So very not fun but at least didn't go into the ditch or the little creek.

All the back roads are ice covered.  They have put down sand in curves and on some hills but that simply rolls off as cars travel over it so doesn't do the job.  The little back roads like ours isn't a priority.  So, if you come out be sure to come off 400N from Page Street.  Even 1850 towards town is not all that fun but if you go slow, it can be traveled.  I came in from Bishop Hill and it was semi alright and had been re-sanded in spots yesterday.
