We did the good citizen thing (I'm laughing here) and traded our "clunker" old truck that had it's transmission going out and Keitra's wreaked/limping car that she had turned back over to us and now are the proud owners (still laughing) of a new pick-up truck. The good news is we have a vehicle for Jerry to ride to work in that won't break down, still are able to haul things (Jerry's laughing here) and it only cost a little more than what we paid for this house (not laughing quite so hard). There is no free ride!
We went over to Danny and Jo Conner's home Saturday evening. What a peaceful place and fun seeing his sixteen horses. Six are his and the rest he is either boarding or breeding for others.
Dan was my hairdresser for over thirty years and just retired. Jo and Jerry have both had cancer twice and many treatments (although both are doing well) and she and I have had our old farmer dad's live with us until they passed away; her father on this July 4th. Seemed we had many things to talk about all evening.
After visiting a bit, we went to Pasteur's Vietnamese Restaurant in Moline. To die for Pot Stickers.
Today, is another perfect day. After church and grocery shopping, we managed to do almost nothing constructive. Like I said, "A perfect day."
