Shed Re-Do

Jerry's PET scan results came back good. That is good - we hope. When in the middle of all his problems, Iowa City refused to use Galesburg St. Mary's scans because they said they didn't know how to administer correctly or read them. Iowa City's doctor does nothing but read PET scans. When you get in the middle of these little turf wars with physicians, it is not a confidence builder nor worry reliever. He will be visiting with his oncologist to discuss.
The paint did not stick on parts of the shed last year. The contractor is back and has power washed, primed, and they are now putting on two coats of red top coat.

It has been eventful. The contractor fell off his ladder the first day and landed on the fence. In the process the metal fence post about tore his nose off - eight stitches. I'm grateful it didn't hit his eye. It's not going very fast today so their finish date of this evening or tomorrow may be Monday. Will depend on the big storm we are suppose to be getting tonight.

Crop dusting again this morning. Ugg.

Just finished 16 meals of fresh corn for freezing. It wasn't as nice as the last bunch, not as flavorful or sweet and tender. Will go back to my proven suppliers next time. This batch was from the Farmer's Market in Kewanee. Put up another six meals of green beans yesterday.

Better go - I'm expecting a friend for lunch. Made chicken salad yesterday and will have fresh rye bread, Indiana muskmellon, fresh tomatoes from the garden and a few slices of sharp cheddar.
