The Clarence and Marie Medley home sold this afternoon. We went to the sale to see who our new next door neighbors would be.
The house is a big four square with all hardwood floors, oak woodwork, lots of oak built ins, and could be beautiful with a lot of work (and money). The grounds comprises five acres.
There were three bidders: Al DeCrane, Alan :the painter" Anderson's son, and a couple no one knew. Al DeCrane bought the home for $47,000 and it is for his son, Jim. They got a good deal but I really didn't think it would go that high considering the amount of work involved and it was sold "as is."
I threatened to duct tape Jerry's arms down in case he got this wild hair. . .
