A few pictures of last week's ice storm coverage.
We had lost power sometime during the early morning hours, but, only for one hour. We then lost it again in the afternoon and had several bumps that night.
All-in-all we did much better than many other areas. Susan and Paul were out of power most of the day. Jerry worked from home a couple of days, schools were closed as was many businesses.
I enjoyed not having to go out - simply called and said "I can't make the meeting due to ice" (It ended up be rescheduled)
We didn't have too much tree/bush damage - maybe they have been nature pruned over the last few winters so all weak stuff in already down. Because we had so much snow on the ground, the rain, which turned to freezing rain and sleet made walking really dangerous. Like walking on marbles.
Today much of the snow and ice have melted due to high 30 degree temps and rain last night. Apparently, lower temps and snow is on the way Or, as they say, "A minor snow event." Let's hope they're right.
