Susan won a 2010 AP Award for her writing at the Galesburg Registered Mail Newspaper. Deadline News Category, Susan Kaufman, The Register-Mail, Galesburg, "One Dies in Motel Fire". Just in time to say "good-bye"!Sue will be starting a new job in a couple of weeks. She will be the media tycoon (my title not hers) for a skilled care/rehabilitation facility in Aledo. They hired her ten minutes after her interview so I'm assuming she aced it. They pay well, have good benefits, advance their employees, and treat their employees good (according to people who work there).
It's good she's finding success at her career and they will be out of Galesburg for good. A side benefit will be she and Trent will be working in the same city and can lunch bunch. Pretty good deal for them both. Trent is the chemist at Meminger Metal Finishing.
This makes all three of my girls working at skilled care facilities - when it's time to have me committed they can flip a coin on who and where. Marla sedates me, Julie bills me for it, and Sue can talk about it. Aw yes, the good life.
