Good People

This is the girls swimming before coming to visit Grandpa.

What a great weekend. Jerry is doing really well. He still needs loads of sleep but that helps the healing process. He still can't lift, or drive or anything physical but little projects between naps are helping. His swallowing is a little difficult again, sometimes has some pain, but making progress. It's amazing how simple tasks all take more physical stress than he is allowed. For an old macho guy it's really hard to stop and not do anything harmful and ask for help. He can't even lift a gallon of milk from the frig and you know how he loves milk.

We've had many notes, calls and visits from family and friends. The poker boys (Trent, Ian, and Greg) came calling Friday evening. Susan visited in the hospital. Marla, Gracie and Katie visited and heaped lots of love on Grandpa Jerry. Pat and Jack Gregory visited. Al DeCrane brought him a milk shake. Jim DeCrane and Jennifer visited (they brought him a bell to ring for me to get things - rotten kids). Paster Mike made several visits. Megan, Angie, Carmen, Wayne, Mary and Marge have called. My P.E.O. sisters have sent cards and the e-mails and fb notes have been plentiful and daily. It's good to have family and friends who care.
