Was a busy day considering I'm retired - but, a good day.Had an Executive Board Meeting for Freedom House, the General Board Meeting, and an Executive Closed Session of the Board this morning. We're still dealing with the $200,000 plus the State has not paid us since January.
I picked up Kat on my way home. She spent a part of the day doing creative drawing which netted me a new rocking horse for my collection. We did some errands and made a needed stop at the Dairy Queen. It was nice having Kat around for the afternoon - I really enjoy her company. Also, met her new dog, Maggie, a really little and sweet cocker mix.
As we were leaving Kewanee, it started to rain really hard and did so all the way home. In fifteen minutes, we had another 1 1/2 inches of rain and things were flooding again. We had to drive through lots of streams over the roadways, including our driveway. We've had so many fast and hard rains, it has cut the shortest distance to downward streams. Water in the basement this time as the ground level water table is now high even on this hill. More storms predicted tonight, Thursday and Friday.
Jerry spent the day at Keitra's watching Bradley and is coming home to sump pump duties.
