Regular at the card section

I had a message this morning that an old friend, Ken Cannon, who I had known all my life, had passed away. He had gone into Hospice a couple of weeks ago so we knew it was near.

Kenny was the red-headed kid down the road. He married another friend, Jean Ann Pickett, and although divorced, they remained friends.

In talking to Marcia (Bryan Ellis), we decided we really dislike this sudden loss of so many of those we have known and loved since childhood. And so many within this last year.

It tends to make one want to live cautiously but that's a mistake, too. We should live life with the joy and enthusiasm as it was meant to be when we were created.

All the negatives about these kinds of illnesses and dieing - anger, fright, caution, and withdrawl - only make what life we do have pointless. We should mourn the loss of friends and loved ones but make a point of having our own life filled with the worthwhile. Throwing away Blessings is a terrible thing.
