The images are a group of poor little sparrows prior to my going out and chipping the ice off the sunflower seeds, a little squirrel showing the effects of a night of freezing rain and the haze of blowing snow. Note the pine tree on the left and how it's leaning from the blowing wind.
Snowed vertically most of today with gusts up to 50 mph and it sure looked like it with all the drifts. The snow has stopped this
evening but still very windy. The 10 pm news said the wind chill was already minus 16 below zero. Wow!
Jerry worked from home again and I managed to make two batches of cookies. Tried a new peanut butter cookie recipe from an Amish lady and it was just like mom used to make - perfect. The other was a Paula Deen chocolate chip and I don't care for it as much as the simple Toll House recipe. It's got that rather bland scone taste but I added chocolate fudge icing which helped some.
The rest of my evening was spent Christmas shopping on line and finishing a new mystery book.
