The Weather Outside is Frightful

We got more snow this morning than predicted then less snow this afternoon than predicted. It's been sleeting and freezing rain for hours. Soon the snow hits again and the 30-50 mph winds. I notice all of the rain has frozen on everything. This is sure a recipe for outages.

Right now it looks like we will have fewer inches of snow than Iowa, where they are already over a foot.

I had a surprise phone call this afternoon from Mary Shenk Nixon, my first cousin (daughter of Alice and Charles Shenk). Mary was born the year before Denny. She and her family live in Midwest City OK. It was especially nice she took the time to reconnect and catch up.

The image is a photo of a rainbow made from the sun reflecting off ice crystals in the cloud. I took this the other day on the way to Sue and Paul's home.
