Kate & I

Freedom House had a Volunteer Appreciation picnic last evening and I asked Kate to keep my company.
She is growing fast and the maturity level is increasing and then in a poof, she is at left. Perhaps that's good, at almost thirteen it's alright to be a kid. It appears Ian is enjoying a little kid time himself!
We did a little shopping, bought some delicious carmel corn and cheese corn from "The Sweet Shop". They make the cheese corn from real cheddar cheese they grate fine - sooo very good. After the picnic, we were going to get an ice cream but both of us decided to have a slushy. I had the green tongue and Kate the blue.
She spent the night with us and always nice to reconnect and enjoy her being my favorite "Kate". We even walked the woods and she always plays with the animals.
Today, I got all the fresh sweet corn frozen. Not a huge amount (4 dozen made 12 meals) but enough for one day. I also froze a huge head of cabbage from the garden that made 4 meals. Tomorrow I need to finish this batch of green beans.
It was a perfect day. Warm and no humidity. I don't ever remember doing corn when it wasn't so hot I was either melting or the air conditioning was running the entire time. Just had the ceiling fan on and there was a little breeze.
